Goal: To promote downtown Charles Town as a destination to local and regional residents and tourists.
Economic
Vitality
Goal: To strengthen, expand and diversify our community’s economic base by providing support to existing downtown businesses, attracting new businesses and promoting investment/re-investment in the downtown core.
Design
Committee
Goal: To educate and promote the principles of good design in our community thereby preserving its historic character and enhancing its marketability as a unique destination.
MEET OUR BOARD
Ann Paonessa
Ann has been crucial to the CTN journey. She is fortunate to live, work, and walk downtown daily. She is invested in the vibrancy of this community! She currently serves as board President!
JP Thoma
JP (and his wife Kim) owns The Succulent Garden. He is actively involved in our community and helps bring vibrant events to Charles Town, whether by creating them or by helping other business owners in their projects.
Traci Huff
Traci serves as our Treasurer! She works locally at Skinner Accident and Injury Lawyers, and her family owns Earth Grounds Landscaping. Traci believes in our community and always supports our events by showing up with a smile!
Chris Hipp
Chris is our Vice President and comes to us from Sierra Pacific Mortgage and brings a love of bringing our community together. He has been critical in our implementation of The 1786, our pop up bar. Chris continues to be a great asset to Charles Town
Levi Sellers
Levi owns Sustain, a boutique wellness shop, with his wife Brittany and daughter Sedona. He also serves as the Hemp Industry Representative on the MD Agriculture Division. He is currently the President of the MD Hemp Coalition. Levi, his family, and his parents Mark and Billie Joe, are bringing vibrancy and excitement to our downtown.

Angela Kable Johnson
Angela has been invested in downtown Charles Town for many years. With her experience as a realtor, she helps promote the importance of active storefronts and preserving our history. She is also our resident decorator extraordinaire
Kareem Washington
Kareem has been on our board for many years because he believes in our mission. He has a background in marketing and entertainment which has helped him make our events even better!
Jess Derr
Jess is a local real estate agent at Atoka Properties, she currently serves as our secretary. She loves promoting positivity and growth in Charles Town, a special place she chose along with her husband to raise their two little boys.
Seth Rivard
Seth is a West Virginia REALTOR® and founder of Seth Rivard Consulting, specializing in residential, commercial, historic properties, and land use consulting. With extensive experience in urban planning, zoning, and economic development, he is passionate about helping buyers and sellers achieve their real estate goals and assisting investors in securing land use and development approvals.
